   Introduction

Pakistan Muslim Centre (PMC) exists as a charitable organisation with an aim to provide opportunities and services to the Pakistani community of Sheffield and the surrounding areas.


 Mission And Statements

To provide a 'gateway' that builds capacity for the welfare of the community of interest through practical support advice, information and promotion in health, education training, welfare, social and culture in partnership with other agencies.

"PMC in collaboration with local education providers are developing a strategy that will enable parents to play an active rolein their child's education".

  • » To provide education, training advice and facilities at introductory level and assistance to progress further
  • » To assist with benefits, housing, debt, social and domestic issues
  • » To provide opportunities for social interaction by organising activities, social trips and making space available
  • » To make health, education, welfare and counselling referrals to relevant organisations.
  • » To promote cultural awareness through events and activities and to bring together various communities
  • » To build capacity of the community by enhancing their skills, knowledge, building confidence and self-esteem to gain higher education and employment opportunities
